Who I Am
My name is Steve Andrews
and I am in private practice as a clinical hypnotherapist based in Macleod, Victoria, Australia.
The approach I practice is solution focused, that is, it is not so much about analysis of causes of our problems, but more about finding solutions to them for the future.
Knowing the cause of our problem may be of interest, but knowing "why" may not help.
We need to know what we can do now.
I have studied and practiced the work of Dr. Milton H. Erickson (1901-1980) the American psychiatrist and hypnotherapist, under one of his direct students, Dr. Rob McNeilly, and I have a special interest in teaching people techniques for helping to manage chronic pain.
Qualifications
I have a B. Sc. (Hons.) UMIST, and a Diploma of Learning Solutions in Hypnosis, Centre for Excellence in Therapy, and am a Professional Member of the Australian Hypnotherapists' Association.
